Services for Mrs. Gerline Hartsfield Hunsucker, 73, were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 4, 2000, at First Baptist Church in Tunica, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Danny Smith and Rev. Austin Moore officiated, and Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hunsucker, a homemaker, died September 2 at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn., following a long illness. A longtime Tunican, Mrs. Hunsucker had lived in Southaven for the past several years.

She is survived by her husband Edward Donald Hunsucker, Sr. of Southaven; one daughter, Brenda Hunsucker VanCleave of Tunica; two sons, Edward Donald Hunsucker of Memphis and Charles Hunsucker of Walls; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbeaers were Trey Hunsucker, Charles Ivan Hunsucker, Dallas Hunsucker, William Hunsucker, Page VanCleave, and Justin Cariker.

The family requests that any memorials be made to the National Lupus Foundation or a church of the donor's choice. This will link to the funeral site.
