Call Element Transitions

April 20, 2012 | 03:11 PM

Call Elements are key Design tools when creating landing pages for your web site (see Call Elements). Now we've added the ability to apply motion transitions on the fly.

For example, with a Call Element showing up to 5 featured Calendar events, you can simply select a transition and the system will display one event at a time - fading or sliding to rotate through all five events. The transition tool includes the following:
  • Transition Type: Fade or Slide.

  • Dimensions: The width and height of the transition area.

  • Delay: How long to show a particular item before transitioning to the next item.

  • Transition Speed: The sped of the transition from one item to the next.

  • Items per VIew: Show more than one item per view.
  • Order: The order in which the items appear (either standard or random).
The new transition tools are available with all Call Elements. Just set some values and see what happens!

All the new features we were looking for were already in place at Linear. In addition, if we came up with a feature not yet available, they created it.

We now publish two Web sites a week in less time than it took us to publish one. The free time has opened me up to explore new ideas and features to use on our site. It's a great feeling when you can get an idea and in no time have it up and running online. Thanks to it's ease of use, our Web site is getting better and better every day.

We are always getting compliments from our readers and advertisers. With help from Linear Publishing, we are becoming the e-voice of the community that we were striving for.
