Client Quick Site

wicked cool

July 26, 2010 | 08:01 AM

Linear Publishing has long embraced the concept of providing mini-websites to clients. After all, its easier to sell an ad when there is something to which it may link.

The new Quick Site feature builds the site almost entirely! Just select "Quick Site" from the client's new records menu. Choose how many pages you would like for the site (more can be added later). Select initial colors, fonts and menu orientation - viola! The system creates the following:
CSS Styles: The system will create 7 CSS text styles assigned to the client (i.e. Menu, Titles, Body, Footer, etc.). The styles will be applied to the client's pages and site.
  • CSS Containers: The system will create 11 CSS containers assigned to the client (i.e. Browser Window, Site Frame, Menu, Footer, Live Area etc.). The containers will be applied to the client's pages and site.
  • Blank Pages: The system will create however many blank pages your requested for the client site.
  • Initial Menu: The system will build the site's initial menu with links to the blank pages.
After launching the Quick Site, you'll have links to preview the initial site. Options allow you to continue or start again.

Quotes
smiley pete"Linear publishing has provided a turnkey solution for Mile High Newspapers that far exceeds anything that we could have accomplished on our own. While the capabilities of the system are impressive, what I have found most useful is Linear's willingness to implement new features and its ability to support the ones it has. The Linear system has so many features, that one newspaper will never use them all. I have looked at other newspaper content management systems, but have yet to find one that matches Linear's price, tech support and feature set."
