Abbreviated Obituaries

December 20, 2008 | 03:23 PM

Added the ability to present obituaries in an abbreviated format. Why, faster, more relevant data per page and more page views. Works for me. This optional abbreviated approach is already available in the calendar and directory listings

With the abbreviated format you'll see the deceased, some portion of the obituary and a small version of the image. Clicking the name or "more" link takes you to the full obituary.

CSS Controls allow you to control every aspect of the list presentation. Padding, dividers, backgrounds, border and text styles are all controlled through the Linear CSS interface.

The abbreviated format also increases search engine optimization as each listing has a "perma-link" for Google and Yahoo to index.

quotes
SMDP"After years of subpar online publishing services, we discovered the answer to everything we were looking for in Linear Publishing. Linear is so easy to use and so quick to respond that our site was up in no time. Their online manual is invaluable but their staff is also extremely responsive. They have so many features that we may never use but they are there if and when we want to use them. Most recently, we created our mobile site. Within an hour it was up and running. Linear far exceeds their competition and our expectations."
