Daily Schedule (click for larger version)
The Linear architecture was first designed as an intranet for a group of print publications. One important component was the ability to manage personnel schedules.

Our Web-based schedule system allows personnel to track meetings, calls, todos and reminders. Schedules can be viewed in either a daily, weekly or monthly format. Easy navigation allows the user to jump between formats, move backwards and forward, and link to related data.

Always available "mini-calendars" will jump from to any date accessing whatever data format the user is currently in.

Detail
When viewing a schedule, the specific information regarding any meeting, call or to do is revealed in the detail window. Simple visual cues let you know the status of work to be done.

Account Example
Used in conjunction with the account management system, a user can schedule a meeting with a client. That meeting will appear on the user's various schedule and also appear in the history/schedule of activities for the account. When viewing the schedule, the user can quickly jump to the account notes.

Multi-user Example
Given proper access authority, a user can request available times for a meeting with departments and/or specific personnel. From the available list of times, the meeting can be scheduled and will appear on all involved schedules. Optionally, the user can issue an email to scheduled participants notifying them of the scheduled event.

Facility/Resources Example
Optionally, your Linear system can be configured to track facilities/resources used in meetings. A user could view the schedule for a the main conference room, a projector or other important resources to determine availability.

All Users Views
Given proper access, a user can view the schedules of all personnel or facilities simultaneously. This is a great feature for a receptionist who needs to know when people will be in and out of the office.

Event Categories
Scheduled meetings, call and to dos can be categorized. Using categories, a manager can track sick days, vacation days and personal days for any user. Each category is color coded so that a quick view of any schedule reveals the nature of the scheduled item.

Department Example
Each user given access to your Linear system can be identified with a particular department. You can view the schedules for a department as a whole - or schedule meetings for departments. Department meetings will appear on all invovled user schedules.

Lock Schedules
By default, your Linear system is configured so that schedule items cannot be changed after the date of occurence. The schedule manager sould can change past information if needed.

Recurring Events
Linear's schedule system allows for events to be extended for a specific number of days, for weekly, monthly or annual recurrence. Great for weekly staff meetings and deadlines.

Customization
You control the look and features of your Linear calendar system. Defining the start and end times, time-block increments, facilities, departments, event categories and user access are all within your control.

quotes
SMDP"After years of subpar online publishing services, we discovered the answer to everything we were looking for in Linear Publishing. Linear is so easy to use and so quick to respond that our site was up in no time. Their online manual is invaluable but their staff is also extremely responsive. They have so many features that we may never use but they are there if and when we want to use them. Most recently, we created our mobile site. Within an hour it was up and running. Linear far exceeds their competition and our expectations."
