Single Management, Multiple Sites
Linear is designed to allow multiple sites share data.

For example, if you had 4 linear sites we might add a 5th site to control the other four. From the master site, you could place ads, polls, business listings and more on one or more of the four "children sites".

This allows a group of publications to share a main control site while providing each of the publications their own identity.

Currently, Linear allows cross site data of the following nature:Here are links to two of six site sharing a common management system - Homer Horizon and Orland Park Prairie.

Single Site, Multiple Publications
Alternatively, multiple publications can be run on a single site using a particular Linear configuration. But here, you are limited to targeting editorial, letters and obituaries to particular publications within the same site.

Here is a link to 10 publications sharing a common site - Denton Publication. Check under the menu item "Local News" for the various publications. With thoughtful use of Linear's page layouts and call elements you can deliver individual front pages, but eventually with classifieds, business listings and more you have a shared site.

Quotes
times newspapersWhen we realized we needed to upgrade our Web site, we knew we could not do it alone. Linear Publishing more than answered the call. All the new features we were looking for were already in place at Linear. In addition, if we came up with a feature not yet available, they created it.

We now publish two Web sites a week in less time than it took us to publish one. The free time has opened me up to explore new ideas and features to use on our site. It's a great feeling when you can get an idea and in no time have it up and running online. Thanks to it's ease of use, our Web site is getting better and better every day.

We are always getting compliments from our readers and advertisers. With help from Linear Publishing, we are becoming the e-voice of the community that we were striving for.
