In addition to standard address and contact information, your Linear system allows you to defined up to 8 additional fields for Subscriber data collection.
Of course, you don't have to refer to it as "Subscribing" - you could call it "Membership". By subscribing, they can able to closely follow companies and organizations of their choosing and access to pages which you choose to restrict.
Subscribers access your Site using their username and password (see Subscriptions). Of course, they'll be able to have the system "remember" their access information to avoid typing their access username and password in the future. Linear Publishing can import your current subscriber list, or you may manually enter persons as the need arises.
From you public Web site, visitors can submit their subscription information; however, they may not enable enhanced features. When a subscriber has added his contact information to your site, he will receive a password via email almost immediately. Once logged in as a subscriber, he may submit a request for enhanced subscriber features.
