The Shoe Box is designed only for your Web Community to add information. Your management staff may review, edit and delete submitted information, but the task of adding the content falls on the shoulders of your Web audience.

Users may sign up on your Web site at no cost. Typically, the system will email them an activation link so they can begin adding content. New contributors will adopt limits defined in your Defaults allowing them to add a maximum number of items during a specific period (daily, weekly, monthly). With individual users you can adjust these limits. SHoe Box accounts may also be established as part of a Site User account.

New users can be configured to have their submitted information held for review. Once you are comfortable with a user, you can change their individual permissions to allow their submissions to appear immediately on the Web site. Users can also have an article and image limit and frequency.

Each User will have a "Profile" which they can edit. Web visitors can easily access a profile when viewing any information submitted by the user. The profile includes the users personal information, a picture, and their email. Web visitors can easily navigate to see all the articles and images submitted by a particular user.

The Shoe Box Home Page for a user has easy controls for adding and managing their content on your site.
Feedback: Shoe Box account holders also have special privelges when adding feedback or comments to the site. Their contributions can be immedaitely posted while anonymous submissions can be held for review. Also, a Shoe Box User's profile image will appear with their comment (linked to their profile).

Forums: Shoe Box account holders can also have special access to your Site Forums. You can configure individual Forums to be viewable by guests - but maybe only allow Shoe Box users permissions to add.

Juke Box: If your Linear system has the Juke Box system enabled, Shoe Box users can be allowed to create playlists on yoru site. They can choose among your Juke Box songs and add them to one or more playlists.

Private Shoe Box: It should be noted that you need not employ the on-line enrollment for Shoe Box users. If you have a limited number of persons to whom you would like to grant access, you can manually enter their information through the Shoe Box Management system.

corydonI've had a great experience with Linear Publishing. The system was easy to learn, and Greg and his staff are always available to answer any questions I may have.

Our readers are apparently liking the results, too, because our visits to the web site have tripled this year.
