Background Ads

Click Here to re-visit the page employing "fixed" rotation for the Background ads.

Background ads live outside your site. When a visitor's browser window is narrow, the background ad will become cropped - or disappear - while now affecting the scrolling of your site.

Background ads enjoy many of the features of our ad system including Scheduling, Rotation, Click through tracking, View Counting, Filling and Maximum Impressions.

Example: In this example there are three background ads scheduled to appear, but a page can only show 1 ad at a time - so the ads will rotate.

Scroll vs. Stationary: The ad for "Walt's Food Center" is stationary. As you scroll the page vertically, the "Walt's Food Center" ad should remain on the screen. The other 2 background ads will scroll with the site.

Incorporating Ad Families: The Superman-esque background ad is part of an ad family - where 2 or more ads will appear in combination.

Rotation: All ads will rotate assuring that each ad is seen an equal number of times.

All the new features we were looking for were already in place at Linear. In addition, if we came up with a feature not yet available, they created it.

We now publish two Web sites a week in less time than it took us to publish one. The free time has opened me up to explore new ideas and features to use on our site. It's a great feeling when you can get an idea and in no time have it up and running online. Thanks to it's ease of use, our Web site is getting better and better every day.

We are always getting compliments from our readers and advertisers. With help from Linear Publishing, we are becoming the e-voice of the community that we were striving for.
