A great tool for drawing people into your classifieds is small generated inclusions featuring select classifieds from the current listings. Each time you upload and/or publish your classifieds the Linear system gathers anew classified listings for this feature.

Each main category or sub-category can be configured to draw a sampling of listings to be included. The listings can be limited to upgraded classifieds, classifieds with visuals or both.

With each sampling you may define the maximum number of listings to be gathered - then defined the maximum number of listings to be shown. If there are more listings than space available, the system will randomly rotate through the listings.

When shown, each listing can link to it's category page or open a new window specific to the listing. Other features include the ability to specify the maximum and minimum number of characters to be included with each listing.

Example: On the right side of this page is a small window titled "Top Jobs". There are 3 listings pulled from the "Help Wanted" which are either upgraded or include visuals. The window is configured to show a maximum of 2 listings, so the system will randomly select 2 of the 3 to show. In this case, each listing is configured to open a small window to show the full text of the listing.

Click here to re-visit this page and see the listings rotate.

Quotes
smiley pete"Linear publishing has provided a turnkey solution for Mile High Newspapers that far exceeds anything that we could have accomplished on our own. While the capabilities of the system are impressive, what I have found most useful is Linear's willingness to implement new features and its ability to support the ones it has. The Linear system has so many features, that one newspaper will never use them all. I have looked at other newspaper content management systems, but have yet to find one that matches Linear's price, tech support and feature set."
