Ratings allow your Web audience to "rate" items on your Web site. The importance of community participation cannot be under-rated. Combined with the Feedback feature, your audience will quickly feel a sense of belonging when their opinions are registered and shared.
When ratings are enabled for a portion of your Linear site, Web visitors can sort items (i.e. Restaurant Listings, Coupons, Blog entires, etc.) by the rating; thus, allowing them to view the most popular items.
The system will only allow a web visitor to rate an item once. This prohibits folks from "fixing" the rating for an item - of course, it will happen anyways, but we try. For maximum authenticity and data credibility, Rating participation can be limited to Shoe Box Users, thus limiting voting to registered Users on your site.
Infinite Application: The rating feature can be enabled/disabled for almost any portion of your Linear system. But, you can also enable/disable ratings for categories (i.e. "Staff Directory") or for individual items.
