Shaft Cops Out

bring back Richard Roundtree

This article used Linear's "Auto Pic" feature which creates small, medium and large versions of a single original image. The system then links the images together. While decreasing the time needed to update your site, this feature adds dynamic features to othwise simple editorial items.

This is sample text for an editorial item. Since we only have so much time in our days, we aren't really going to write editorial pertinent to the titles we dreamed up. Get over it.

With high-speed Internet access reaching the homes, you have the opportunity to enhance your traditional editorial content with audio and video files.

Who's da man? Richard Roundtree is da answer.
Easy to upload and reference, your media files can be attached individually to editorial items or grouped as media sets.

The Linear Publishing system analyzes your media file. The resulting links show the file size and media type (audio or visual). When your Web visitor clicks the link, they'll pop open a small window for presenting the media.

Once created, your media files can easily be attached to editorial items and editorial sections. And like all other Linear Publishing content, the media links will be archived with the editorial.

Your media files will also be aggregated on a media page. This archive format will list all media files in a chronologically descending order. Each media listing will continue to access the original media file for presentation.

    This movie blows

i waited for this movie with great anticipation having been a fan of the original. i thought Jackson was a good choice, but apparently the director never saw the original movie - or didn't like it.

Shaft comes off as too detached. He's supposed to be committed to his community. here, he's just out for himself and only helps others when it furthers his own ends.

Put this in with the "Wild, Wild West" remake where the originals are ashamed of their children.

    Why so dark

This was an opportunity to build on the original - Shaft was a cool character. Unfortunatlry, they decided to remold Shaft into a brooding, detached - and violent man.

Shaft is supposed to be an urban hero - not someone to be feared. To quick with the gun - maybe it works for some, but i just saw a downtown Rambo.

times newspapersWhen we realized we needed to upgrade our Web site, we knew we could not do it alone. Linear Publishing more than answered the call. All the new features we were looking for were already in place at Linear. In addition, if we came up with a feature not yet available, they created it.

We now publish two Web sites a week in less time than it took us to publish one. The free time has opened me up to explore new ideas and features to use on our site. It's a great feeling when you can get an idea and in no time have it up and running online. Thanks to it's ease of use, our Web site is getting better and better every day.

We are always getting compliments from our readers and advertisers. With help from Linear Publishing, we are becoming the e-voice of the community that we were striving for.
