Howdy Do Notifications

Howdy Do notifications can drop in from either the top or the bottom of your website. These present simple messages which are hard to avoid for the web visitor. This page features a notification along the bottom.

Howdy do notifications can be placed on the entire linear site, or constrained to individual Site Pages.

The system can remember the "state" of a Howdy do notification. So once closed by visitor, the notification would not re-open unless the visitor clicks the open arrow link.

Also, Howdy do notifications can be on "conditioned" on certain statuses. For example, you might have a notification the only appears to nonmembers of your site. Once a member logs in, the Howdy do notification would not appear. Other conditions exist for site subscribers.

You have full control over the content of the Howdy do notification. You can insert your own HTML text, or reference a layout or call page which you have created in other portions of Linear publishing. CSS containers and style controls are available when building howdy do notifications.

Howdy do notifications are managed in Internet Mgmt > Design > Other.

Quotes
smiley pete"Linear publishing has provided a turnkey solution for Mile High Newspapers that far exceeds anything that we could have accomplished on our own. While the capabilities of the system are impressive, what I have found most useful is Linear's willingness to implement new features and its ability to support the ones it has. The Linear system has so many features, that one newspaper will never use them all. I have looked at other newspaper content management systems, but have yet to find one that matches Linear's price, tech support and feature set."
