Leaderboard Adjunct Ads

Click Here to re-visit the page and rotate the ads.

Leaderboard Adjunct ads appear either to the left or right of Leaderboard ads (see Leaderboard Ads). Because Leaderboard ads may have unused space to the side, we created the ability to place additional ads here. If no ads are scheduled, the system will insert a default image linking to information about advertising on the Web site (see Leaderboard Ads).

Leaderboard Adjunct ads enjoy all the features of our ad system including Weighting, Fixed Frequency, Scheduling, Rotation, Click through tracking, View Counting, Filling and Maximum Impressions.

Example: In this example (see the small ads adjacent to the Leaderboard ads at the top and bottom of the page) there are four Leaderboard Adjunct ads scheduled to appear, but the page is configured to only show 2 ads at a time - so the ads will rotate. Typically, you'll have more ads than space available.

Fixed Frequency: The "Dominos" ad has been configured to appear each 3rd click. With Fixed Frequency an ad will absolutely appear according to the frequency - no more and no less. Fixed Frequency does not determine where an ad will appear (see weighting below), only how often an ad will appear.

Weighting: The "Raid" ad has been given a weighting value of "1". It will always be placed atop the ads scheduled to appear. The ad will not appear more frequently - rather the ad will receive preferred placement when shown.

Rotation: All ads not assigned to a Fixed Frequency will rotate assuring that each ad is seen an equal number of times.

Quotes
smiley pete"Linear publishing has provided a turnkey solution for Mile High Newspapers that far exceeds anything that we could have accomplished on our own. While the capabilities of the system are impressive, what I have found most useful is Linear's willingness to implement new features and its ability to support the ones it has. The Linear system has so many features, that one newspaper will never use them all. I have looked at other newspaper content management systems, but have yet to find one that matches Linear's price, tech support and feature set."
