Author Links
Linear Publishing will automatically use the authors name as a link to anything else that author has written on your web site. One click and his editorial contributions are listed in chronological order.

Automated Issue Archiving
With the push of a button, an editorial issue is added to the archives. The archives page lists the issue dates in a descending chronological order. Each issue date has a link to it's front page and an optional listing of the top stories from the issue -- or your custom description.

Automated Menu Construction
Each issue, Linear Publishing will scan your editorial to determine which sections you are using and create a menu link and section page. If you have editorial items in the Social section which won't appear on the front page - no worry. Linear Publishing will create a menu button linking to the Social section which will list the editorial items.

Blogs (i.e. weblog) are on-line diaries or group information points where entries are shown in descending chronological order. Normally, a blog will have a single administrator adding entries from time-to-time; however, a blog can be configured to allow the public at large to add entries. Blogs are fully searchable. Great for clubs and people who have loyal followings.

Breaking News
This powerful feature of Linear Publishing allows you to add editorial and indicate it is a breaking news item. The moment you add the editorial it will be listed on your public site. For publications other than dailies, this is a great tool for making editorial from your next issue available today. Once you publish the next issue, the breaking news status will be removed.

One of the best features of Linear Publishing is the interactive calendar. Always a focal point of a local publication, your on-line calendar will be just that for your Web site. Interactive, you say? That's right. Your interactive calendar can literally build itself. Now your calendar event contributors can go to your Home Page, click on the calendar link and add an event. These events do not post automatically to your Web site. Your calendar editor reviews the events submitted and then selectively decides which events to post to your site. For special clients, you may assign them calendar access in Contact Information so that their information goes directly to the public Web site.

Cascading Style Sheets
One of Linear Publishing's most advanced tools allows you to define the styles for virtually every text item on the site. Editorial cutlines - you'll be able to define the type face, size, color, line spacing and much more! Best of all, these style sheets make your site wickedly fast since the text characteristics need only load once.
